NEW ALAMEIN TOWERS

Advanced Computer Technology (ACT) and Hassan Allam Technologies (HAT) to complete technology packages for LD00 New Alamein City Residential, Administrative and Commercial Towers installation.

In part of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development’s efforts to develop New Alamein City, on the Egyptian North Coast, HAT-ACT Joint Venture (JV) will complete the installation of the residential and commercial towers LD00 by the second half of 2022.

The project was awarded by the towers’ main contractor, Joint Venture of Hassan Allam Construction (HAC) & Consolidated Contractors Company S.A.L (Offshore) (CCC) in alignment with New Alamein City Authority and New Urban Communities Authority with a total investment of 136 Million Egyptian Pounds. HAT-ACT JV is responsible for the engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and handing over of the Information and Communications Technology Systems for the towers.

“This project is very important to HAT as it is a clear representation of end-to-end system integration composed of more than 15 different systems and this is in line with our strategy. Moreover, we are very intrigued by jointly collaborating with ACT on this project as both companies build on the competencies and qualification of one another,” said Zayan Waziry, HAT Managing Director.

The project will be completed over a span of 8 months delivering the installation of Building Management System, Fire Alarm System, Structured Cabling System, Surveillance Systems, Networking & Connectivity Systems and Compute Infrastructure Systems.

“ACT is very proud of being part of LD00 project as contributing to such significant projects that are pivotal to the development of New Alamein City has been a mission that we have been working on for the past three years. Moreover, this project is an important reference for the rest of the towers of the city and we are collaborating with the best technology providers such as Cisco, Bosch and Honeywell to deliver a state-of-the-art solution,” said Ali Tawfik, ACT Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer.

The solution will be serving all four 32-floor towers that are built over two-floor podiums with a total built up area of 324,000 square meters.

In line with Egypt’s 2030 vision for sustainable development and the country’s efforts to improve the livelihood of all Egyptians, the government established New Alamein City as a residential, industrial, commercial and touristic city in efforts to expand the North Coast beachfront. The city is being built in several phases on a total of 148,000 feddans of land with the first phase being constructed on 23,000 feddans.

Projects are divided into a 14km public promenade, 15 residential and administrative towers and residential neighbourhoods. The vision for the city encompasses accommodating three million people after the completion of all phases.

“Given the country’s direction to building new fourth-generation cities, we are in continuous engagement with the relevant stakeholders to adopt advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, internet of things and more, to develop real smart cities that are in line with the state’s vision for the future,” affirmed ACT’s Tawfik.
