1-What are some of Hikvision’s core technologies that are leading the market today?

Deep learning algorithms is our most valuable technology. It enables a number of solutions to support security and operational efficiency. The benefits of deep learning for attribute recognition and image classification are countless, and we try our best to bring out all of them for maximum advantage.

Hikvision has always been focusing on the video visualization business. After 20 years of development, we are still deeply involved in the field of video visualization. We have one of the world-leading dynamic video coding, image processing, and image-based VCA (Video Content Analysis) applications.

Meanwhile, Hikvision is also a continuous Innovative technology company. On the basis of video, we combine artificial intelligence and other new technologies to become a world leading IoT solution provider with video as its core competency.

Because our partners and our users have given us a lot of input and help, we can ensure that our core technology can stay ahead of the market.

 

2-What is the company’s strategy and focus going to be in MENA region? And what’s the strategy for the Egyptian market?

One of the main goals is to penetrate channel development, enlarge and deepen the channel coverage, from urban to remote regions, and enlarge the installer group. Therefore we created ePartner and other handy app and tools to help. This allows all our customers to enjoy guaranteed access to all of our products and services immediately.

Another goal is deepening into industry development to provide solutions to our customers across different verticals, to make sure they can really meet their business requirements -and expectations.

For the Egyptian market, we deeply appreciate our partners for their support. We have a relatively stable regional market. We will continue to do refined operations to meet the needs of users. At the moment we can see that the country’s economy is stable, the environment continues to improve and the infrastructure is developing rapidly. At EBG market, there is still plenty of opportunities for development. For example, in traffic, education, hotels and other industries, we can provide complete overall solutions to ensure safety, and improve the operation and management of the enterprise.

 

3-In your opinion, what will the AI or IoT bring to the current security industry and how Hikvision is going to implement it?

Hikvision believes both technologies have to cooperate together for ‘IoT+AI’ to become an important path to support digital transformation, and we are working together with a broad range of industry players to build the bridge between the physical and digital worlds. The following is a quote from our CEO, Mr. Hu during the AI SUMMIT that expresses how Hikvision will implement the technology, and where our future is headed towards with IoT and AI fully integrated in our day-to-day operations.

“Now we already have a lot of scenarios and successful cases for AI field. Our solution can also further improve the refined management of the store, including inventory turnover management, shelf product displays, advertising, etc., through video information and AI deep learning technology,” said Mr. Hu

4-What strategies and measures do you take to help your partners succeed?

We value our partnerships and we work towards the common-value through the understanding and communication.We always ensure the product quality and service to satisfy our partners.

From the service side, we provide support for aftersales, pre sales and all the necessary support our partners may require, as well as providing marketing assets.
