Short Biography

bp Egypt has a successful track record in Egypt stretching back to almost 60 years. The business is primarily in exploration and production.

bp Egypt currently produces, along with its partners, around 60% of Egypt’s gas production through the joint ventures the Pharaonic Petroleum Company (PhPC) and Petrobel (IEOC JV) in the East Nile Delta as well as through bp’s operated West Nile Delta fields.

bp Egypt investments exceeded $35 billion, making bp Egypt one of the largest foreign investors in the country.

What is the project scope?

The project’s scope is automating and developing the information transmission network for the main building of “bp Egypt” predicted estimate of 10 million pounds, using the latest technological systems and wireless infrastructure solutions provided by Aruba, ACT’s best strategic partner for network development business.

On this project, ACT is working on automating the information transmission network in the main building of bp Egypt, which is located on an area of ​​5,000 square meters, and equipping it with the latest wireless systems and integrated solutions using infrastructure solutions from Aruba. As well as, delivering and installing all the equipment and devices needed in the project to the main building, and work is ongoing in the company’s branches in other locations.

The project included the supply, installation, and maintenance to provide integrated solutions for bp Egypt to keep pace with the latest technological systems. All precautionary measures were taken during the implementation of the project to ensure the safety and health of all project workers.

Now we are working together on 3 site fields outside Cairo in El-Behira, delivering Wi-Fi solutions, and there are many challenges to face in this project; the sites’ environment is tough and requires special types of access points and devices to adapt with such environment, also it requires different measures of security levels and engineers with certain certifications; that’s why ACT was the ideal choice for us because we have confidence and trust in ACT’s 32 years experience in the market and its teams (pre-sales/sales/projects/post sales).
